Overview

Osprey is a new data acquisition system designed to provide a world-class portable solution for medium channel-count dynamic data recording, real-time monitoring and analysis requirements.

Osprey features 16 or 32 analogue input channels.

  • 16 / 24 bit delta sigma A to D converter per channel
  • Synchronous sample rates 5-200 kHz (up to 80kHz bandwidth)
  • All inputs are configurable for AC, DC, ICP or Tachometer signals
  • Each channel includes selectable ranges up to +/-1, 2, 5 or 10 volts
  • Synclink interface to allow multi-unit operation
  • < 3kg weight
  • Either 1 TeraByte Disc or Sony AIT3 tape for extended acquisition operation

Osprey features a PCI link with a PCMCIA interface for connection to any standard laptop computer. Data can be streamed at full rate to either internal disks (within the laptop), the 1 TeraByte Osprey disks or an embedded AIT3 tape drive.

Osprey is completely compatible with HGL's existing range of data acquisition, real-time monitoring and archiving systems.
