Overview

Hummingbird is a new data acquisition system designed to provide a world-class ultra-portable solution for low channel-count dynamic data recording, real-time monitoring and analysis requirements.

Hummingbird features 4, 8 or 12 analogue input channels:

  • 24 bit delta sigma A to D converter per channel
  • Synchronous sample rates 5-200 kHz (up to 80kHz bandwidth)
  • All inputs are configurable for AC, DC, ICP or Tachometer signals
  • Each channel includes selectable ranges up to +/-1, 2, 5 or 10 volts
  • Synclink interface to allow multi-unit operation
  • < 1kg weight

Hummingbird features a gigabit Ethernet connection, allowing acquired data to be streamed to a laptop or PC. The unit is constructed in steel and is robust enough for use close to the test article with the PC located remotely.

It can also be used as a standalone data logger, recording broadband RMS values at a lower rate.

The Hummingbird is completely compatible with HGL's existing range of data acquisition, real-time monitoring, analysis and archiving systems.
