Providing monitoring equipment for strain gauge tests has always been a core activity for HGL Dynamics. During 2010, the company has expanded its operations to offer a turnkey package covering all aspects of strain gauge test planning, preparation and execution:

• Establishing gauge position and type (working with your Analytical Department)
• Arranging gauge installation
• Working with slip ring or telemetry systems
• Installation and connection of test vehicle
• Leasing of dynamic monitoring and recording systems
• Test monitoring and reporting
• Reporting of test data and liaison with Analytical Engineering

HGL staff have a wide range of turbine test and development experience gained within the UK’s major Industrial and Aero Gas Turbine OEMs. This allows us to offer a range of test support, planning and operation services.

• Test Planning and Operation – We have experienced development test personnel who can work with you to establish:
  • the test requirements,
  • define the correct instrumentation and transducers for the test,
  • generate the test schedule, and
  • run the test.
• Electrical Instrumentation support – Building on our experience of installing high channel count dynamic monitoring and recording systems for major aero and industrial engine OEMs, we can now support all aspects of electrical instrumentation, including:
  • Specifying transducers
  • Installing transducers and cabling
  • Specifying and installing Logging systems (Both Dynamic and Steady state / Transient)
  • Fault finding and maintenance of existing systems
