HGL congratulates EuroProp International and its partner companies following the successful first flight of the TP400 Flying Test Bed (FTB) aircraft. This aircraft, a modified C-130 Hercules, contains several data acquisition units, including a 32-channel Eagle dynamic system provided by HGL Dynamics.

The Eagle unit records 32 channels and performs real-time safety monitoring on specific engine vibration parameters which are monitored by the flight crew in the cockpit. HGL developed a specific software module for the Eagle standard product in order to meet this challenge.
In addition, all of the data files acquired on the onboard Engine Management System are transferred to a ground-based translation and analysis system provided by HGL Dynamics. This system transfers the translated data to a central database in Toulouse, so that all of the partner companies involved in the project have secure shared access to the flight data.
HGL's Eagle acquisition and monitoring system is also ideal for ground-based testing, either in a stand-alone bench configuration or with multiple units synchronised together in a rack-mounted configuration for larger channel counts.
Please contact HGL Dynamics for more information on the Eagle, on our custom software development projects, or any of the other items on our website. |
